• The blood bank centre at the Gozo General Hospital will be open today from 8am to 1pm for those people who would like to donate blood.

• Neocatechumenal Way community is conducting a series of evangelisation meetings. Today they meet on the Ta’ Pinu church parvis at 5.45pm. The celebration will include vespers, singing, experiences by youths and a catechesis on important fundamental matters.

•The feast of Our Lady of Pompeii will be celebrated at the church of Our Lady of Pompeii, Victoria, on Wednesday. The Supplication will be said by Bishop Mario Grech at noon, followed by the blessing of children at 4.15pm. The church’s rector Mgr Joseph Cauchi will lead a concelebrated Mass at 5.30pm.

• The seventh edition of Notte Gozitana Lejlet Lapsi will be held between Friday and next Sunday. Among the events planned for the weekend are four cultural tours that will take place on Saturday, all starting at 9.30am.

• The Social Action Movement (Gozo), the Centesimus Annus Foundation and the Mgr Nicholas Cauchi Foundation will be holding a conference to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Blessed Pope John XXIII’s Encyclical Pacem in Terris. The conference will be held at the Curia in Victoria on Saturday at 10am. The public is invited.
