Monochrome is a strong trend for this season, from 1960s mod cool to sharp and sleek. Jane Norman takes on a prettier form of this look for spring, with flaccid macs, origami on soft tailoring and lace prints. These are key to creating a new and fresh monochrome look.
Fondant Fancy includes the tutti fruiti colours of spring. A gorgeous, feminine look with a 1950s vibe featuring proms, flirty frills and colourful lace. This look will carry through into high summer with bright sunshine and aqua palettes against brilliant white.
Moving away from the feminine fondant fancy, Jane Norman joins the Neo Tribe this summer for a global traveller look. Embellished neck lines, tribal prints, braids and embroideries give this look an eclectic vibe. They can be worn with dyed or embellished denim or new camouflage.
The Graphique look features a sharp colour block using a monochrome base, building colour on colour. Framing, blocking and graphic prints are key, with an 1980s sports feel to bodycon styling.
Seventies inspired, Rock Romance look takes on a cool silhouette with slim thighed flares and ruffled kaftan dresses.
Another trend is Future folk, a combination of traditional embroidery with a make-over of vibrant colour and pops of neon. The silhouettes have a 1970s feel – denim is trimmed with crochet and prints have a faded psychedelic look.
The collection is available at Jane Norman stores in Zachary Street, Valletta, and Tower Road, Sliema.
