La Salle BHS, winners of the 2012/13 Super Cup and MHA Cup, continued to add to their list of honours this season after making sure of the men’s ICT Solutions Division One title with a 28-16 win over rivals Aloysians von Taine in their last outing.

This was the sixth championship and the second in a row for La Salle who are coached by Ian Psaila.

The champions started off at an electrifying pace against Aloysians with young duo Andrew Tabone and Nicholas Fava among the starting seven.

Aloysians tried hard to fight their way back, particularly in the second half, but they never got to grips with the situation as La Salle held the edge.

For the winners, wingers Daniel Tabone and Chris Magro also distinguished themselves with fine goals and effective play.

After the match, ICT Solutions Sales Executive Officer Edward Smith presented the trophy to La Salle captain Andrew Said in the presence of MHA president Louis Borg.
