The 202 Jewellery Beland Music Festival kicks off on May 10 in Bulebel, Żejtun, for eight nights of non-stop entertainment and more.
This year, the event includes a Delicata Wine Night on May 16. Patrons will be able to try over 20 of the winemaker’s DOK and IGT quality wines while enjoying live coverage of the second semi-final of the 2013 Eurovision Song Festival, during which Malta’s entrant, Gianluca, will be performing.
Entrance is free and there will also be a wide range of food items, including Maltese platters.
The QWPSR (quality wines produced in a specific region) wines that will be available include: Pjazza Regina red, white & rosé; Medina Sangiovese; Rosé Grenache and Vermentino Zibibbo; Maltese Falcon Chardonnay; Ġellewża Rosé and Merlot; Carissimi Cabernet Sauvignon and Casella Moscato; Ġellewża and Girgentina Frizzante; and wines from the company’s flagship award-winning range Grand Vin de Hauteville oak-aged Chardonnay and barrel-matured Shiraz Cabernet. Other brands available will be the ever popular Dolcino wines, Green & Red Label and Delicata’s new semi-sparkling lower alcohol red, white and rosé Spritzzers at just 3.9 per cent volume alcohol.
The third edition of the much-awaited festival is packed with music and performances by Malta’s leading artists, including Kevin Borg (May 10), Ira Losco (May 11), who will be performing songs from her new album The Fire, and The Rifffs and Red Electrick (May 13).
Rock enthusiasts will be treated to a full live tribute show to one of the best rock bands ever, Guns & Roses, on May 15 and another one dedicated to rock favourite Bon Jovi on May 17. The festival will feature a children’s area, food and drinks stalls. Delicata wines will be available at the main bar areas.
Donations for Puttinu Cares will be collected throughout the festival.
