Now that the dust has settled, we can start patching up all the hurt feelings regarding the late British Prime Minister Baroness Margaret Thatcher’s funeral. Anti-Thatcher critics touted the sum of £10 million as the total cost of the ceremonial funeral with military honours, a guard of honour and a church service at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Official figures published last week show that the actual cost of the funeral to the taxpayer was just £3.6 million.

A total of 2,300 mourners joined Her Majesty The Queen, Prince Philip and Lady Thatcher’s family for the funeral. Unfortunately this great, memorable occasion was marred by shameful protests in the streets of London and especially the North. Lest we forget.
