St Hubert Hunters has called on BirdLife to mark with appropriately easy distinguishable signage the boundaries of protective no hunting zones.

Its request follows Birdlife Malta’s insistence that two hunters being within the Ghadira Bird Sanctuary protected zone on April 25. The claim was subsequently denied by the hunters' federation but BirdLife insisted that the hunters were within the confines of the reserve."Substantial areas adjoining these zones are land reserved for hunting. Unless BirdLife Malta is after sensationalising any inadvertent trespass our suggestion should be implemented for the benefit of all concerned."As things stand these vast unmarked areas can only be termed as traps set for the unwary hunter used by Birdlife Malta to depict hunters as lawless untrustworthy citizens," St Hubert Hunters said.
