All eyes were on St George’s Square Valletta yesterday morning as Tai Chi practitioners marked World Tai Chi Day. The event, in its seventh year in Malta, was held jointly by the China Cultural Centre, the Malta Judo Federation and the Valletta local council. Tai Chi lovers displayed the ‘yang’ and ‘chen’ styles. Tai Chi is a Chinese art intended to give the practitioner better health. It is based on slow, graceful, balanced and coordinated movements which, if practised properly, create a harmonious relation between body and mind.
