Sirens Ritter Sport registered their second victory in this year’s Winter League campaign when they defeated Marsaxlokk in yesterday’s first match.
A whirlwind start saw the Northerners surged into an 8-1 lead. This was followed by two ‘easing off’middle quarters which closed with Marco Risso’s team extending their advantage to 15-5.
Although Marsaxlokk were reluctant to be easy-chopping block for their opponents, they could not avoid a big defeat as Sirens repeated their first-session scoreline for a 23-6 win.
Their chief scorers were Dino Zammit and Alex Attard with six and five goals respectively.
For the losers, veteran Timmy Camilleri scored twice.
