A group of 79 army recruits are currently undergoing their basic military training at the Training School 4 Regiment.

The recruits are required to sit for the AFM Swimming Qualifying Test during which recruits have to perform a deep water dive, swim 25 metres, and float for five minutes without aids in swim trunks and in combat trousers and t-shirt.

Recruit who do not pass the test are given basic swimming lessons to learn techniques that would enable them to resit the exam and obtain a pass.
