Sliema ASC announced the signing of a new sponsor – Frank Salt Real Estate.

McDonalds, the Blues’ major backers for the past nine years, will be ending their partnership with the club at the end of the Winter League next month.

Whilst thanking the outgoing sponsors for supporting the club, Sliema ASC president Michael Gatt said in a statement that he was very happy to have reached a new agreement with Frank Salt Real Estate.

“I believe that the co-operation between a leading real estate company and one of Malta’s top waterpolo clubs will be beneficial to both parties,” he said.

“A team of Sliema’s calibre always aspire for the top honours, that is why the backing of a strong partner was crucial for us to fulfil our aspirations.”

Grahame Salt said sponsoring a successful waterpolo team was a move the Frank Salt Real Estate Group was looking forward to.

“Sports activity is an extremely important element in any society,” he said.

“Waterpolo is one of the most followed sports in Malta and this is our way of endorsing the club and giving something back. We wish the team the best of luck and hope they claim the honours this year.”

The deal will see the Frank Salt Real Estate logo displayed prominently on the Sliema kits as well as at the club premises in Għar id-Dud.

This summer Sliema will be fielding two quality foreign players – Gergely Kiss (Hungary) and Samir Barac (Croatia).

They are new to the local waterpolo scene but both left their mark on the international scene, winning an impressive amount of titles including four Olympic gold medals between them.
