It would be greatly appreciated if animal protection societies would spare a thought for humans by instructing cat lovers how to enjoy their hobby and their pets without disturbing others by creating nuisances, damage to private property and public health hazards.

It is understandable that cat lovers dislike that their domestic house-trained pets would come into contact with wild feral cats. They achieve this by luring these wild cats away from their own property by dumping food abundantly for these stray cats at a distance but near the residences of others. In doing so, they create wild cat colonies that plague others with rotting, unconsumed food, cats’ excrement, cat fleas and damage to expensive plants on patios.

The welfare of human beings should be just as important as the welfare of stray cats.
