Former national team players Carmel Busuttil and John Butti-gieg, together with current Malta internationals Michael Mifsud, Roderick Briffa, Jonathan Caruana and Ryan Fenech, recently teamed up to share their skills with young hopefuls attending the Kick Academy Easter camp at the Melita FC football grounds.

The camp, attended by over 80 players from different age groups and nurseries, also saw the participation of some experienced coaches ably assisted by Julian Bonello and Mario Tabone.

Young goalkeepers had specialised sessions with Saviour Darmanin, who also played for the country in his career.

Meanwhile, the third and final term of the Kick Academy training programme kicked off recently with a new and updated programme.

Headed by Busuttil, the academy is also in the process of announcing its programme for the Summer Camp which starts on July 8.

With the help of qualified coaches, the academy will be offering professional training sessions, touching on various aspects including skills, nutrition and sociological behaviour on and off the pitch.
