PN leadership candidate Mario de Marco visited the university this morning and reiterated his message of ongoing policy change within the Nationalist Party.

Dr de Marco visited the offices of the SDM (the Christian Democratic students) as well as Pulse. The two student organisations are preparing for the student council elections.

He said the time had come for the PN to change the way how it does politics. Importantly, he said, the updating of policies had to take place on a regular basis and not once every five years. Changes in policies had to reflect changes in society.

Dr de Marco also underlined the importance of students in political debate and said students should not accept anything as a rule. It they disagreed, they should speak out with their arguments and proposals.

He gave, as an example, how the drama censorship laws were changed by the former government after the outcry which following the banning of the play Stitching.
