Malta coach Damien Neill will be looking for a strong response from his players as they resume their commitments in the FIRA-AER Division 2A with a match against the Netherlands in Amsterdam, today (kick-off: 3pm).

The national team, who slipped to 48th in the latest world list, are coming into this match on the back of a 19-10 defeat to Switzerland at the Hibs Stadium which derailed their promotion campaign to Division 1B.

Switzerland are leading the group on nine points, one ahead of the Dutch with the Maltese lagging behind in third place on five points.

The last time Malta and Holland met was in 2009-10. On that occasion, the Dutch com-pleted a double as they beat the Maltese 27-9 away and 19-0 at home.
