The Malta Medical Students’ Association is again holding HealthFest together with the Malta Association of Dental Students at St George’s Square in Valletta until 2pm.

The aim of the event is to promote a healthy lifestyle focusing on prevention rather than cure.

It serves to educate the public on different health issues - from the more obvious problems like diabetes to the less obvious, such as care for the environment.

The event includes blood pressure, BMI and blood glucose monitoring, advice on oral health, as well as advice from a nutritionist until 1pm.

There is a children’s play area where basic education on healthy living, oral health, hand-washing and a ‘Teddy Bear’s Hospital’, which aims to help children feel more comfortable in the presence of doctors in a fun and imaginative way, will be provided.

Sports activities for include a free jitsu session from and a free zumba session.
