Health Minister Godfrey Farrugia has informed the police his personal e-mail address was hacked by someone “trying to impersonate him”.

In an e-mail he sent to all his contacts on Saturday evening, Dr Farrugia warned against messages received from another gmail address but with his surname spelt with just one ‘r’. He said a person using the e-mail address indicated “has been trying to impersonate me”.

A spokesman for Dr Farrugia said police officers from the Cyber Crime Unit were investigating the case.
