The International Opera Awards recognises the achievements of all the performers, producers and teams that work in opera.

The categories will be judged by an independent panel of industry experts, and presented at a glittering ceremony at the Hilton Park Lane on April 22, 2013.

The Awards ceremony is organised by the Opera Awards Foundation, founded last year by Harry Hyman and John Allison.

Its purpose is to advance the education of the public in the art of opera in particular by the provision of bursaries or grants to individuals, groups of individuals or other charitable organisations.
