Where is the direct bus service from Valletta to the Temples of Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra? Under the old bus system, there was a bus every 30 minutes from Valletta, but now there is none.

For a brief period late last summer, more than a year after Arriva started operating in Malta, this bus service finally came into operation, then was discontinued in November or December, but promised to be reinstated in the ‘tourist season’.

Well, Malta’s ‘tourist season’ is round the corner and some locals would also like to visit the temples and Blue Grotto without having to take two buses in order to get there.

If you have to change buses once or twice in order to reach your destination, you’re in for problems, as the discrepancy between the timetable and reality is usually vast.

The Malta Tourism Authority is apparently focusing on encouraging year-round tourism and especially winter (off-peak) tourism.

Can’t we get some coordination between all the stakeholders? When is this promised service going to be resumed?
