A lone dog appeared to be the only one to take the plunge at Marsaxlokk during yesterday’s feast of St Gregory, or San Girgor, which is traditionally linked with the first swim of the year. Hundreds of people took part in the centuries-old procession, which was delayed because of the rain and strong winds.
