The PN must renew itself in a manner that reflects the times, deputy leader Simon Busuttil says today.

Writing in The Times, he says the PN must reaffirm itself as a party that is closer to the people. Popularity must be sought in its message and not in exploiting people’s concerns or promising everything to everyone.

The party must remain loyal to its roots and identity, but it should stay in touch with the ever-changing realities of modern society and it be ready and willing to formulate policy that provides answers to these realities.

The party needs to reaffirm its commitment to ethics, integrity, openness, transparency and accountability and renew its image in a manner that reflects the times.

Dr Busuttil said the PN must also operate a slick organisation that is able to sustain itself.
