Obituary
BUONTEMPO. On March 29, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, MARIO P., aged 67, of Valletta, residing in Ħamrun, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Dorothy née Moran, his sons Carmvic and his wife Romina, Pierre and his wife Eloise, Ruben and Ruth, his four grandchildren Angelica, Alessia, Milena and Luca Salvatore, Brandon and Darren, his brothers and sisters Sr Ermanna, Peter and his wife Mary Jane, Victoria Coppini, Theresa and her husband Joe Chetcuti, Mary, widow of his brother Giovanni, Helen, widow of his brother Lawrence, and Mary, widow of his brother Lino, his mother-in-law Evelyn Moran, his in-laws Philip and his wife Vivienne, Sr Pierdamiana, Carmen Grima, Marion and her husband Charles Calleja, Henry and his wife Patricia, Isabella and her husband Ignazio Comparato, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends, especially those of Radju Maria and Għaqda Ħbieb tal-Presepju. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for St Paul’s Shipwreck collegiate church, Valletta, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Radju Maria will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
FALZON. On March 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, GIOVANNA, aged 91, of Birkirkara, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children architect Joseph Falzon (former MEPA auditor), Mario and his wife Ester and Margaret, his grandchildren, her brother Emanuel and his wife Concetta of Australia, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2pm for the Sanctuary of St Theresa, Valley Road, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30pm followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza will be greatly appreciated.
SPITERI STAINES. On March 28, at Karin Grech Hospital, VINCENT, surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church after a long illness borne with Christian fortitude. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Marilyn née Bonnici, his loving children Patrick and his wife Janet née Micallef Eynaud and Joanna and her husband Mark Vassallo, his grandchildren James, Michael and Julia, his brothers Edgar and his wife Mary, John and his wife Gertie in Australia, Anthony and his wife Ena Maria, David and his wife Annabelle, Joseph and his wife Marie Louise, his in-laws Dr Alfred Bonnici and his wife Elda, Lilian and her husband Robert Rendle, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Karin Grech Hospital today at 2.30pm for Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 3pm followed by interment in the family grave (top entrance). Mrs Marilyn Spiteri Staines, Patrick and Joanna would like to thank the doctor, nurses and staff at Ward 3 at Karin Grech Hospital and the doctor and carers at Casa Leone, St Julian’s, for their care and dedication.

ATTARD. In loving memory of Fr FRANK, on the 22nd anniversary of his demise. Fondly remembered by his sisters Iris, Ċensina and Rose, his brother Michael, in-laws, nephews and nieces. A prayer is solicited.

Sending a letter through domestic mail will cost 6c more from today, when the price of letters weighing up to 50 grams will increase to 26c, Maltapost said.
The postage rate of letters weighing between 50g and 100g will increase to 32c from 26c. In the case of letters weighing more than 100g and up to 2kg, the new postage rate will be of 32c, with an additional 20c for every 50g.
