Oxford House has been supplying bedrooms for years. So what’s new with this concept?
Most of our customers see us as their number one supplier for household appliances, office furniture and kitchens and we are upgrading our bedrooms department to a similar standard with this new concept. Dorelan Sleep Studio builds on our long-standing relationship with Italian designers and manufacturers, Dorelan, and brings a much larger variety of products to the local market. The concept is basically to offer a complete range of bedding options, making this the must-visit outlet when it comes to purchasing a bed, mattress, pillows, or a complete bedroom.
What sort of price ranges are we talking about?
In order to offer the best value for money to our customers, we focus mainly on mid-price ranges, where you are paying slightly more than the lower end, but getting much better quality and better overall value. Let’s face it, your bedroom is one of the most important rooms in your house and you don’t want to be changing it too frequently. So it makes sense to invest a bit more in quality. We have beds ranging from €350 to €2,000, but that’s apart from the fascinating Pebble bed, which is in a class of its own. The same sort of variety is available in mattresses and pillows too.
What are the current trends in bedrooms right now?
As for style and finishing, there is a huge variety to choose from, but the most popular trends right now are minimalist, with little or no elaboration – clean, straight lines with block colours and gloss looks. Trends depend to a large extent on the space available and the customer’s status and tastes.
But the bed still remains the main focus of the bedroom?
The bed itself is definitely the most important element in the bedroom, then the chosen mattress and the pillows are equally important and this is where Dorelan really excels. Dorelan mattresses are developed and produced entirely in Italy, using only European raw materials. So apart from offering very good value, the quality is simply top notch.
