LifeCycle (Malta) Foundation has announced its challenge for this year, a 2000km route from Minsk to St Petersburg in 11 days.
The LifeCycle cyclists last year raised just over €200,000 were were used to buy an eight-seater passenger van to help patients return home after their late evening dialysis treatment. The funds were also used to sponsor renal nurses abroad in transplant co-ordination.
The LifeCycle foundation's mission statement is to help renal patients have a better quality of life.
LifeCycle is initiating discussions with the pertinent authorities so as to set up a research grant to help scholars carry out further research on renal failure and related issues.
Applications for this year's event are open and will be received at ChicPhysique Studio, 1 Alfred Craig Street, Pieta on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturday mornings from 10.30 – 12.30.
