Go chief executive officer Yiannos Michaelides addressed a brokers’ meeting at the Westin Dragonara, St Julian’s, on Thursday after the telecoms group delivered a pre-tax profit of €26.5 million. It was a significant improvement on 2011’s loss of €45.2 million, caused mainly by the write-down on its investment in Greece. Chairman Deepak Padmanabhan (centre) said: “After a difficult period for the group, it is very satisfying to report that Go has regained a profitable position.” Chief financial officer Edmond Brincat (left) also answered questions.
