Transport Minister Joe Mizzi has launched a four-week consultation process to listen to the public’s concerns and suggestions on how to improve the public transport system.

“Our ultimate aim is to finally have a decent public transport system,” Mr Mizzi said during a press conference at Transport Malta’s Sa Maison offices.

He pointed out that over the past years he had heard many complaints about the public transport system that started operating under Arriva in July 2011.

Once the public’s feedback is collected, the minister said, he would consult with local councils as well those who worked in the field of public transport.

The public can give their feedback by calling Transport Malta’s call centre on freephone numbers 8007 2309 or 8007 2393 between 8am and 4.30pm.

Alternatively they can send an e-mail to info.tm@transport.gov.mt. Comments should be concise and to the point.
