Five arrested over India gang rape
Police in India say they have arrested five men in connection with the gang rape of a Swiss tourist in Madhya Pradesh state.
A police officer in Gatia district said today that the men have admitted to the crime.
He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the media.
Police say the woman and her husband were on a cycling vacation and had camped for the night in a forest when they were attacked by a group of men on Friday night.
They say the couple were robbed and beaten, and that the woman was gang-raped.

If found guilty these rapists should be hanged to set an example to others in my opinion. Long prison sentences wastes tax payers money by way of feeding and upkeep of these undesirable character. Mind you many western countries including USA have higher crime rates than in India.
