A 29-year-old Gozitan man was put on probation for three years yesterday and fined €1,000 after he admitted to stealing diesel from a car parked in Xewkija.

Presiding Magistrate Paul Coppini heard Julian Calleja, from Munxar, admit to stealing the diesel on the night of March 3 and relapsing.
