With 11 days to go for the Malta-Italy 2014 World Cup qualifier at the National Stadium in Ta’ Qali on March 26, a full house is expected with only 400 tickets in the enclosure side still available.

MFA CEO Bjorn Vassallo told a news conference this afternoon it was being anticipated that there would be around 18,000 people at the stadium, including the local and foreign media.

Italy, he said, had had an allocation of 805 tickets, of which it took 400.

Mr Vassallo said that, on match day, the stadium will open at 6.30pm and the match will kick-off at 8.45pm.

On the eve of the match, the roads surrounding the stadium will be closed to traffic.

On the day, there will also be a fan park at the MFCC in Ta Qali, where several activities will be held. This is being organised by the MFA with the support of FXDD and Cisk Lager.

On March 22, Malta will be playing in a qualifier against Bulgaria in Sofia and Italy in a friendly against Brazil in Geneva.
