AXISA. On February 26, in Australia, MARIE ANN, née Bugeja, aged 81, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband William, her children Christine, Maureen, Nathalie and Philip, and their families, her sisters Gina Attard, Rose Sapienza and Lina Mamo, her brothers Andrew and Paul and his wife Maria, her sister-in-law Mary Rose, widow of Bernard, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. BAJONA. On March 14, at her residence in St Paul’s Bay, DOLORES, formerly of Valletta, aged 64, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Carmel Winston, her brothers and sisters, Frankie, widower of Carmena, Vince and his wife Ines, Victor and his wife Tessie, Alfred and his wife Rose, Annie and her husband Alfred, Mary and her husband George, and Lilian and her husband Joe, Ċettina, widow of her brother Ġużeppi, Marianne, widow of her brother Charles, in-laws, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30pm for Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul’s Bay where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
VELLA BONELLO. On March 14, OLGA née Urry, aged 96, passed away peacefully at Zammit Clapp Home comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joan, wife of Anthony Scerri, Nathalie Attard and Tonio Vella Bonello; also her grandchildren Lorna Sammut, wife of Chris, Dr Jackie Scerri and her fiancé Bernard, Sarah and Sean and their mother Nathalie Vella Bonello, her great-grandchildren Rebecca and Philippa Sammut, as well as her in-laws, nephews and nieces. She is also sadly missed by Henry Alamango. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris née Schembri, his sons Edgar, David and his wife Marika, Stephen and his wife Liliana, Kenneth and his wife Michelle, his grandchildren Matthew and his wife Adriana, Nicholas and his fiancée Francesca, Simon and his fiancée Anabelle, Lisa, Emma and Ethan, his sister Jean Grech Cumbo, his in-laws and their family, other relatives and friends. A prayer meeting for the sanctification of priests and religious vocations will be held tomorrow at St Anne’s chapel, Żebbiegħ.
