The Vatican, essentially, is the Roman Empire by any other name. The new Pope may find it difficult to live frugally within the Vatican. How can one get away, or ignore the sheer opulence of the place? The sheer wealth of the RCC may be distasteful to some people, going against what Christ stands for. But really, is it fair to expect the RCC as Institution to operate from some 3rd floor flat?

Under the present circumstances of the world today, it is not easy to be either a new Pope or a Prime Minister.
I feel the greatest problem is not in nature itself but is the fact the sheep in the vicinity are not sheep as we once knew them but some of them have become wolves wearing sheep clothing and if not wolves then foxes perhaps!
They both are lonley men surrounded by a lot of people!
