The You Shop We Ship Player of the Month award for January in women’s basketball was won by PAVI Depiro’s Samantha Brincat (picture).

This was the first individual honour for Brincat who joined Depiro last season.

In January, Depiro had a couple of fine games in the championship to confirm their place among the top teams in the table and also reached the KO competition final.

Brincat potted 49 points and she also had nine three-pointers to classify as the best shooter for the month from outside the arc.

Brincat boasts an average of 6.21 rebounds per game together with an average of 1.16 steals and 3.21 assists per game. She was presented with her award by Malta Basketball Association general secretary Joseph Muscat.
