Front runners Pavi Depiro and Luxol were untroubled by bottom sides Starlites Sports Experience and Phoenix Qormi Petrus as they warmed up for next weekend’s Louis Borg Cup final in style.

Despite being without top scorer Steffi DeMartino, leaders Depiro were still too strong for winless Starlites. Inspired by American Latisha Belcher and Sam Brincat, Depiro raced into an early lead and fin-ished the first quarter 16-9 ahead.

After changing ends 43-13 ahead, Depiro brought on their substitutes and, although their form suffered slightly, they still ran out 65-37 winners.

Luxol notched the biggest win of the season at the expense of Qormi who sorely felt the absence of Brittaney Thomas.

By the end of the opening quarter, Luxol were already 34-7 ahead. After changing ends 65-13 in front, Luxol went on to win 112-35.
