The police are continuing to question a number of people who uploaded blogs or comments on the Internet, breaching the law on political silence immediately before the general election.

Informed sources said those called in for questioning this morning were Labour candidates Charles Mangion, Chris Cilia, Helena Dalli, Nikita Alamango and Deborah Schembri, Labour MEP Joseph Cuschieri and Lara Boffa, who has appeared on Labour billboards

They were called in after complaints were made to the police.

The PN confirmed it had made complaints to the police during the night.

Blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia was questioned at Mosta Police Station late yesterday.

The Times sent a series of questions to the police but the only reply was: “At this stage it is not prudent to comment.”
