Anything may happen in the next two days but the important thing is to take the right decision, as a mistake will not be corrected quickly, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said this morning.

Speaking at Villa Arrigo, he said that the party will keep trying to convince people to vote PN until the end.

“Saturdays vote is a vote for the future. I am sure that the people will do what is right.”

Dr Gonzi said that while Dr Muscat’s promises looked good, the proof of the pudding was the eating.

“There are many who are still undecided - they might be disgruntled and some of them may be right… But if we change direction they will suffer… Their problem can be solved but if the country goes to the dogs, it will grow bigger.”

Dr Gonzi advised the people to look at what had happened where the Socialists were in power, such as in France, which was in a worse off situation than it had been before.
