Make sure you take the right decision, Gonzi warns
Make sure you take the right decision, Gonzi warns. Video: Mark Zammit Cordina
Anything may happen in the next two days but the important thing is to take the right decision, as a mistake will not be corrected quickly, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said this morning.
Speaking at Villa Arrigo, he said that the party will keep trying to convince people to vote PN until the end.
“Saturdays vote is a vote for the future. I am sure that the people will do what is right.”
Dr Gonzi said that while Dr Muscat’s promises looked good, the proof of the pudding was the eating.
“There are many who are still undecided - they might be disgruntled and some of them may be right… But if we change direction they will suffer… Their problem can be solved but if the country goes to the dogs, it will grow bigger.”
Dr Gonzi advised the people to look at what had happened where the Socialists were in power, such as in France, which was in a worse off situation than it had been before.

Dr. Gonzi - It was YOU who made serious MISTAKES - some of these being:
Refusing to fire inefficient, arrogant Ministers - ex: Dolores Cristina, Austin Gatt, George Pullicino;
Your using Taxpayer Money to bail out exMinisters, to shut up grumbling backbenchers;
Your giving Cabinet a big Pay Rise - behind Parliament's back. You lost Credibility so you deserve to be booted out. Ex Nationalist.

Days before the last election L Gonzi was at Villa Arrigo in a political event organised by Frank Portelli. The plan was to get PN disgruntled 'back into the fold'. This is what happened:
Following short propaganda speeches Malta's PM sat on a chair against a wall and listened to people on a 1 to 1 private basis. He seemed to be hearing confessions! Transparency? DEGRADING!

Make sure you take the right decision, Gonzi warns
First of all Dr Gonzi, you do not have to `warn` us on anything as we PEOPLE of these Islands are not that `Cwiec`, and thus knows exactly whom, this time, we should `warn` and put into the `Opposition benches.. And that is GonziPN & KLIKKA ... PERIOD..

I think GonziPn's first five years were nothing but a false dawn. Dr Gonzi's plea on right decisions ring hollow after 5 years of bad decisions. The silver lining of all this, is that the divisions which he fostered in his party and elsewhere is only three days away!

For once I am in total agreement with Dr Gonzi I took the right decision I am going to vote wholeheartedly against who voted wholeheartedly against me. I am going to vote against arrogance, the culture of us and them which made Labour supporters feel 2nd class citizens in their own country.I am going to vote against who said Iva Iva Iva on the closure of the dockyard.I am voting Partit Laburista.

Listening to the story of Alfred Bray an EX PN canvasser for over 52 years who will now vote PL makes me realise how right Franco Debono was! Obviously this story will not be covered on the 'neutral' media.

@ Franco Abela
Better not talk about Alfred Bray and talk about Anglu Farrugia pity that his feelings were viewed on all neutral median and left out on One.

JM Busuttil. What has Dr Farrugia`s case got to do with that of Mr Bray... OMG.. GonziPN apologists have shown in this campagn how keen they get in mixing and spinning an issue, even if it`s obvious like this case.. Hallina Busu.. Be serious as no one takes such scribblings, (tgerfix), seriously..

And by the way, the country has already gone to the dogs. You made sure of that Dr Gonzi by leaving an unsustainable debt as legacy, along with an unsustainable cost of living. Those in power are alright. The rest, well.
Angelo Vassallo
Mar 7th, 12:49
The same is happening here.
Joseph Muscat may be voted in with the promise of reducing the Water & Electricity tariffs, by building a new power station, which we do not need. He also set his political future with this promise, and all the other things will go haywire.
Angelo Vassallo
Mar 7th, 12:49
If everyone takes a very good look of what is happening, one would realize that history is repeating itself. Here we have a carbon copy of what happened in 1996.
Alfred Sant was voted in with the promise of removing VAT, set his political future with this promise, and all other things went haywire.

Yes I going to take the right decision to vote Partit Laburista to send GonziPN in Opposition. One of the reasons I wasn't given a 600 euros payrise every week. Malta Taghna Lkollso I had the right to be given that pay rise and not only 1.62 euros every week.
