To vote or not to vote! That is the crucial question.
If you are not sure, and thinking of abstaining, think again – with your head, not your heart.
Be sure to collect your vote: it is very precious, don’t waste it. It is not only foolish and irresponsible to abstain; it is even dangerous. Polls and forecasts are almost useless. The determining factor is the abstainers. It is they who make the difference in such a make or break situation as this.
Consider this scenario: seven vote ‘break’ (change), five vote ‘make’ (consolidate), four abstain and four do not collect their vote! The latter 4 +4 wanted to ‘punish’ their party for various reasons, mostly personal.
On the face of it, it looks as if the seven ‘break’ votes have won the day. Now, in reality, had the disgruntled eight put aside their personal pride and voted ‘consolidate’, the scales would have swung with a bang to the other side: seven for ‘break’ vs 13 for ‘consolidate’. This is not conjecture at all. It is simple maths!
If any of those floaters/doubters were for ‘break’, they would have voted accordingly – no conjecture about it. So, make sure you do your duty and vote responsibly.
Floaters have the power to consolidate/make or break – at least for the next five years.
