IP CCTV was the topic of a seminar recently held by Alberta Group.
The seminar served as a platform to update the industry with the latest trends and technologies in crime prevention using CCTV.
Alberta’s sales manager Adrian Cutajar explained how, by the end of this year, IP CCTV sales would constitute 65 per cent of the world’s total CCTV market.
The seminar was attended by security specialists, engineers and IT managers from private and public entities interested in obtaining a better understanding of the latest advancements in high-definition IP CCTV systems.
Foreign speakers Stefano Torri, VideoIQ European sales director, and Corrado Grandin, Avigilon key account sales manager, gave live presentations and demonstrations during the seminar.
Mr Torri spoke about the highest performing video analytics and demonstrated that VideoIQ should definitely be the preferred choice for solutions that offer accuracy and reliability with little tolerance for false alarms.
Mr Grandin explained the value of megapixel cameras and stressed the importance of image quality in CCTV. Avigilon has developed IP cameras that can reach up to 29 megapixels in resolution, the highest in the market to date.
