The National Commission for the Promotion of Equality has awarded Simonds Farsons Cisk and Food Chain Holdings, operators of franchises Burger King, KFC and Pizza Hut, the Equality Mark certification.

This certification is based on evidence of a true commitment by both companies, members of the Farsons Group, to implement relevant policies and practices that concern gender equality and family-friendly measures at the place of work.

“We are proud of this significant achievement by two of our companies. This is formal recognition of our commitment to provide equal access to career opportunities and development, irrespective of gender, status or caring responsibilities. Practices and policies to safeguard the rights of all employees and maintain an equal opportunity workplace and promote a positive work ethic have long been in force in our companies,” said Farsons Group human resources manager Antoinette Caruana.

The NCPE, with the support of the European Social Fund, identifies and awards organisations that demonstrate a commitment towards gender equality, certifying them as true equal opportunities employers.
