MFSA issues warning against dealings with SeaMed
The Malta Financial Services Authority today warned the public against dealing with SeaMed Finance Savings and Investments, SeaMed Finance Ltd, SeaMed Bank and SeaMed Holdings.
These companies, it said, had internet presence at www.seamedfinance.com, www.seamedinternational.com, www.seamedbankrbn.com and www.seamedholdings.com but not licenced by the MFSA to provide any type of financial service.
The MFSA would like to remind consumers of financial services not to enter into any financial services transaction unless they have ascertained that the entity with whom the transaction is being made holds a licence to provide such services from the MFSA or another reputable financial services regulator.
A list of entities licensed by the MFSA is available from the Malta Financial Services Authority, and can be viewed on the MFSA website.

The MFSA may issue all the warning they wish as this authority(and I use this term very loosely) has clearly lost all credibility with and the confidence of the public. The public should be issued with a warning about any potential dealings they may have with the MFSA-especially its Consumer Complaints Division -which is an absolute disgrace,
