Two admit 24 thefts of fuel

Stefan Mitkov Parasakov, 27, from Sliema and Mihail Nedkov Nikolov 28, also from Sliema were today condemned to an 18-month jail term suspended for three years after being convicted of stealing €960 worth of diesel from pumps across the island.

The two admitted to stealing the fuel after discovering a way retrieve their money from petrol pump machines once they bought fuel. 

They stole fuel 24 times from the beginning of this year.

The court heard that they had paid back the money.

The punishment certainly doesnt fit the crime. What on earth is a matter with the judical system ??

Sorry but I can't resist!

So for EUR 90,000 (mislaid, stolen, laundered, corr...) a big fish will get a proportionate sentence.

A 135 years jail sentence, suspended for 270 years. Obviously.
