Gozo pitches get upgrade
The Government has allocated €500,000 to upgrade a number of football grounds in Gozo.
Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono said Gozo will have three large pitches with synthetic turf as well as small ones.
The money will go towards further developing of the facilities of the Gozo stadium, especially the VIP area, several pitches with synthetic turf and other projects.
This will help raise the level in time for May 2014, when four matches will be held as part of the final phase of the under-17 UEFA championship.

How can this government give money here and there (not directly to the Gozo pitches as they really needed this money) even though the budget has not been improved? Arrogance at its best

Giovanna Debono seems to have woken up - rather late in the day as she just lost her head over Eco Gozo, whatever she meant by that; whatever good that will mean for the Gozitans.
Giovanna, hopefully your ''rule'' over beautiful Gozo - which you certainly did not defend against Speculation - will come to an end in a matter of days.
Hopefully Gozitans will put the interest of Gozo before all else!
