Interview with Joseph Muscat on Safi drugs case

The Sunday Times tomorrow features an interview with Labour leader Joseph Muscat about the Safi drugs case which emerged from secret recordings of deputy leader Toni Abela.

In the interview, he admits that mistakes were made and talks about the lessons learnt, while insisting that he never lied.

so should Gonzi resign too? He's far more than irresponsable, not credible ans selfish. He was being honest, we could see that!! as a floating voter, and many people who are in my position... we should give our vote to Joseph Muscat!! lets get rid of this arrogant PN party

pathetic is your comment John. Drug abuse and especially drug trafficking like what was covered up by Abela and Muscat should always be reported to to the police !! Defending and covering up for a crime makes you an accomplace to the same crime.... why is it so hard for you people to understand?

If you know all this why don't you report it to the police? Are you ready to allow youths' lives to be destroyed by drugs?

And what about Anglu Farrugia ?? A true case of two weights and two measures as always by your leader..
With JM's admission, both Toni Abela and himself should tender their resignation and not as he tried to say that the blame should be shouldered by Toni Abela alone !!!

It's getting late Mr Pace, why don't you go to sleep.

He said that he didn't have any information to go to the police with because he only had the word of a witness and he didn't want to testify in court. Stop watching NET Tv and hear the actual quotes instead of just repeating what biased media says.

Oh your're soo right...as if we haven't been hearing lies from PN governments for the past 25yrs!!! Lets see, they lied to: Hunters & trappers, taxi driver, public transport drivers, drydock workers, Ta'Qali crafts village shop owners, SeaMalta workers, Airmalta employees, Fishermen, about tax cuts, Oh Oh and about the €620 wage increase they took, about refunding that same increase etc etc etc

@ Antonio Pace very true he lies that he never lied. He forgot when he used to scream about the younger generation and drugs. Now it seems no one is talking about it anymore. Society is taking drugs as if there is no tomorrow and not only this but the lejber party seems to be covering it up. How times change!

He took action and "kick out" those implicated...unlike Gonzipn who is still sheltering those involved in oil scandal. Joseph has the guts whilst Gonzi doesnt.

@ D Magro yesterday 23:57
Muscat did not kick out Dr T Abela, a deputy that he declared not to be fit to run as a LP candidate. But Muscat incongruously did kick out ( assassinated by back stabbing, to be precise) another LP stalwart as unfit to be a deputy leader but would Anglu Farrugia please stay on as a candidate for the election. Malta does not need such mavericks as ministers, let alone PMs
