Almost all companies with at least 10 employees made use of computers and the internet at work in 2012, a National Statistics Office survey published this week showed.
A total of 96.6 per cent used computers and 95.2 per cent used the internet.
An increase of 13.9 per cent was recorded in mobile broadband connections.
Out of 1,231 enterprises using the internet, 41.8 per cent used portable devices. Of these, 83.8 per cent were using a portable computer and 88.5 per cent used other portable devices such as smart phones.
The overall usage of e-Government services by these businesses stood at 93.3 per cent, a decline of 1.5 per cent compared to 2011 levels.
A total of 96.1 per cent of enterprises used e-Government services to obtain information during the year while 89.7 per cent used these services to download forms.
Furthermore, 63.5 per cent of the companies said they also used e-Government services to submit filled forms electronically – an increase of 4.5 per cent compared with 2011.
