Tarxien striker Bueno player of the month

Tarxien Rainbows forward Daniel Mariano Bueno (picture) landed the first BOV Player of the Month award for 2013. His achievement coincides with the Rainbows’ ascent to the Championship Pool this season.

The Brazilian had an excellent few outings in January, emerging as one of Tarxien’s kingpins and helping his team into the top four of the BOV Premier League.

His positive performances also saw him finding the net twice against Mosta and Melita, bringing his tally to four goals in just one month.

Joseph Grech, Paola BOV branch manager, presented the winning trophy to Bueno. Dar Santa Rita, of Tarxien, was the charity chosen by the player himself to receive the monthly donation associated with this award.
