Kazmierczak, Hili win Attard race
The Attard Athletics Club, in conjunction with the Attard Local Council, have just organised their traditional 10K race.
The organisers said in a statement that a total of 135 athletes took part, some of whom also figured in a 10K walk.
Mateusz Kazmierczak was the winner in the men’s race, finishing ahead of Andrew Grech and Keith Galea. The other top-six positions were claimed by Clive Gerada, Johann Galea and Alan Camilleri.
Carmen Hili was first past the finish line in the women’s 10K.
The seasoned St Patrick’s AC runner was followed in by Hann Matysiak and Angela Sammut in that order.
George Farrugia, president of the Attard Athletics Club, dis-tributed trophies to the various category winners and confirmed that the club’s next race this year is scheduled for September 22.

5 did the walk which was terribly organised. 1 of the organisers was even heard saying by not only myself 'Dawn tal-walk, taghtix kashom'. We also started half an hour before when hell broke out with hail & rain for a few minutes, 3 of us where in Triq Drumblat, a main road, where no race/walk official was present with all the presenting hazards! No reply to my email as yet from Attard AC recieved
