Infrastructure Minister Austin Gatt is to hold a press conference this afternoon during which he will address questions on the oil procurement allegations, informed sources said.
This will be Dr Gatt's first press conference since the scandal broke, but he replied to reporters' questions after he was interviewed at police headquarters two weeks ago.
Dr Gatt has repeatedly insisted that he never discussed oil procurement with businessman George Farrugia.
Mr Farrugia has been granted a presidential pardon for information on the scandal, which is said to involve a number of people within the Enemalta oil procurement decision-making process.
Over the past week a number of e-mails surfaced indicating a possible link between Mr Farrugia and the minister.
