Amazing footage of hit-and-run incident
West Midlands Police have issued this amazing CCTV footage of a hit and run car accident in Coventry.
A woman and her three-year-old nephew were hit by an Audi which kept on going. The incident happened in December but the driver is still being sought by police.
Amazingly the two were not harmed.

The police here in the UK have a good record of catching these reckless drivers. There are always many people willing to give evidence in such cases.

Apart from that most of the traffic lights have number plate recognition cameras. All police cars have the same equipment and therefore they can easily spot cars which are/n't insured, paid their car tax or failed their MOT (VRT in Malta).

Take a leaf from the UK Malta, they are well equipped with modern technology and for the size of that country traffic fatalities are much lower then Malta's, then perhaps we shall all LIVE? happily ever after. We need as in most European countries more plain clothes & unmarked police cars on our roads.This is something for the next government who ever he might be to take in account.
