ABELA. On February 9, at Mater Dei Hospital, ROSE, née Sammut, aged 95, widow of Nazzareno, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her great loss her children Vivienne and Irene, Ronald and his wife Helen, her beloved grandsons Mark and his wife Tessa, and Ian, her brothers Louis, John and his wife Yvonne residing in the US, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. ANASTASI. On February 8, FRANCIS, aged 92, residing at his daughter’s residence, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Patricia and her husband John Mousù, Josef and his wife Tessa, Maureen and her husband Richard Micallef, Cyril and his wife Margaret, his 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, his sister-in-law, nephews and nieces, relatives, friends and devoted carer Donna. He leaves to mourn his great loss his beloved only son Mario and his wife Alexandra née Cassar, his granddaughters Therese and Sascha Marie, his sister Mary and his nephews Alfred and Silvio, his nieces Juliet, Marthese and Julie, other relatives and friends. VELLA. On February 10, at Gozo General Hospital, PAWLINA, widow of Ġużeppi (Il-Ġinger) and mother of the late Maria and Pawlu, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her other children Helen, George, Anton, Rose, Vince, Marlene, Noel and Robert and their respective spouses, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brothers and sisters, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital today at 4.30pm for Republic Street, Victoria, from were the cortege will proceed to St George’s Basilica where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 5pm followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Cemetery.
