Enemalta will be carrying out works at the Kappara roundabout today and tomorrow as part of plans to reinforce the distribution network ahead of the interconnector between Malta and Sicily.
Works will be carried out between 9am today and 11pm tomorrow.
The road will remain open to traffic, however, Enemalta has advised motorists to proceed with caution.
On January 23, the Italian Ministry of Economic Affairs gave the final go-ahead for the electricity interconnector between Sicily and Malta.

Good. Can we please fix the road or roads being dug up properly and EFFECTIVELY immediately after works are finished?
Recently a culvert was left there for ages before filled up and this was not done properly at all. Yes. the PEOPLE demand this as they deserve it. Making speeches and promises on TV is not good enough, in fact not good at all without PROPER, EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE action!
