Carnival celebrations in Nadur kicked off last Sunday at St Peter and St Paul Square, with several dancing competitions for adults and children, grotesque masks and floats and the Big Friends Guggen Musik band.

Carnival in Victoria will continue today with a musical programme by a band at Independence Square at 10.30am. A Carnival parade will be held along Republic Street at 3.30 pm, followed by a show at Independence Square, where there will be dancing competitions for schoolchildren and adult companies, floats, grotesque masks and bands.

Other activities will be held today in Xagħra, where there will be a Carnival march by the Victory Band at 10.30am, followed by a Carnival spectacle at Victory Square in the afternoon.

In Xewkija a Carnival défilé, led by the Precursor Band, will be held today from Ta’ Ġokk Street at 9.30am.

A Carnival parade and dancing will be held at Santa Margerita Square, Sannat, tomorrow at 7pm.
